The food is to die for. Jeff, the owner and chef, has a variety of different foods, hence the name, Hoof, Fin and Fowl. Nothing on the menu is ordinary. And I love that they use all Pa liquors. My favorite place to eat. I stop here every time I'm in Gettysburg.

I had been looking at this restaurant as a place to go when I visit my parents and it was finally our time. My dad my reservations for 630pm on a weekend. When we arrived there was almost no one there and thought, haha we didn't need to make a reservation. We were wrong because it filled in over the next hour and they had to turn people away. The menu is extensive and we all enjoyed our meals. They have an agreement with a brewery so they do have beer and wine, but you have to go up to the bar in the back to get it yourself. Some weird PA rule but not too bad. The ambiance is pretty simple but there were different animals and fish taxidermied on the wall. It went along with the food! I would come back.

We had the pleasure of eating here a week ago and the food and service were great! Started w the crab balls which were mostly crab w a little breading to hold them together, served w a mustard A+! For the mains we had the duck breast which was served with fingerling potatoes and string beans. The duck was cooked and seasoned perfectly! We also got the salmon which was also delicious. Had to run for an evening ghost tour of Gettysburg so didn't have time for dessert. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive even though the restaurant was very busy. Food and drinks were delivered in a timely manner. We loved the ambiance with the deer heads on the wall, might not be same for everyone but we liked it. Added to the charm of the place! Overall a great dinner!!

I'm so thankful that I am able to find the restaurant to give me a reservation with out waiting for hour. Yes! ppl who come here know what the super famous place I am talking about. I saw the menu and I give this restaurant a chance. Somehow something I want to order is ran out but I still get an interesting order. I have Sea specials $40 it is Lobster cooked in wine and put it back to the shell. It is pricey and can trick tourist like me but who's care? It is a vacation, lol. It is delicious but house salad that came first, one of plum tomato is rotten! I also have duck breast it is good. All I can suggest is pay attention for the stuff you use for your customer because if you want to get more positive reputation and become super famous. It os long way to go but it is possible! I just want to support local business! Drink is separate. They told me because of the license, after I order drink I have to get the drink by my self. I can order with their waitress but I have to walk to get it at the bar on the back of restaurant. I'm okay for that just a bit weird, LOL. Service is okay not too fancy or professional but easy as local people can do it.
